My So-Called Parenting Style!!
Have you ever given any thought to what kind of parenting style you have? If you’re like me, you may have many different styles depending on the day, the mood you’re in and just how belligerent the kids are.
Authoritative parents by definition listen to their kids. Well then that wouldn’t be me, because Mommies In Orbit is getting pretty good at blocking out babble. Authoritative parents also place limits on their kids. Limits, that’s impossible! The wranglers are like asteroids, they’re as hard as rock and metal and you don’t know where they are gonna land! And I don’t want to end up like the dinosaurs!
How about Conscience parenting? Well, you would have to be awake for that, like all the time! And that takes concentration, I lost that when I found out I was having twins! So, do you see the vodka bottle as half-full or half-empty?
What about permissive parenting? This one sounds like it might work for me. I’m over the hill and I’ve got two of them, the same age, and next year they will both be teenagers at the same time! I don’t have the energy to set limits, rules, or exert any control. It’s enough just dealing with gravity!

So to wrap up this discussion on parenting styles, let me just say, that so far my kids are OK. What will the future hold, heck if I know?! I’m anxiously awaiting the total solar eclipse in the year 2017. Yea, I know, I’ve got my priorities right where they belong!
